There is a method called Structural Relief Therapy which is much more gentle and effective. It requires no anesthesia because pain is within tolerance of client. The procedure involves assessment of structural restriction then holding the arm in a relief position for 90 seconds. Arm is then moved slowly to newly tolerated range of motion. If the case is due to tearing and formation of scar tissue there are methods of lifting and separating scar tissue with injections.
