I had neutropenic sepsis, which is very serious, earlier this year. I have severe neutropenia and thrombocytopenia and had a bone marrow biopsy last week. The procedure itself was fine, i had sedation and did not feel anything till i woke up. The pain was not bad, just a bit sore for a few days. However, a week on and the pain inside is getting worse. I am wondering if there is some infection. The site of the needle is just a bit bruised, the pain is coming from deeper inside. May have to see my doctor if this does not subside soon. Hope this is of some help to anyone requiring this treatment and if anyone has had anything similar i would appreciate comments. Thanks. Linda.
