Magnesium is an essential mineral, important in many functions that keep the body moving. It has mild muscle relaxant properties, as it's been helpful for bruxism (teeth grinding, which I'm prone to when very stressed or anxious. Magnesium supplementation is also associated with benefits for a large list of ailments, and I've found it helpful for PMS.
