Commented on Needle Biopsy: Thyroid 6 years ago

I had a biopsy about a year ago and another 3 weeks ago. My first one was nothing at all, slight pinch, one needle, no pain at all. I went for the second one three weeks ago and thought it was going to be a simple as the first. To my surprise it was a totally differenc procedure. I had 6 needles and the pain was unbearable! Never, never again. I am waiting to hear from my doctor because after three weeks my neck still hurts, I feel alot of pressure at the inseration point. I have been coughing alot (I feel I'm chocking) also I have had a slight headache that will not go away from the first day. I have also been sick to my stomach and just don't feel right. Also, when it was done I had such extreme pain in my lower jaw right up to the side of my head, my teeth were even hurting on that side. I have a very high tolerance for pain but I will tell you "never again"!
