Menopause

Menopause is the natural end to menstruation. It is a transitional period when women move away from the phase of life where reproduction is possible. It is characterized by a decrease in the production of estrogen with age, which causes various physical and emotional symptoms. Menopause onset is considered normal if it occurs anywhere between the ages of 40 and 60, and it is considered complete after one year has gone by without menstruation.
