What are Narcoleptic drugs?

Narcoleptic drugs are central nervous system stimulant drugs used to combat the condition of excessive daytime drowsiness. In addition to psychostimulants, narcoleptic drugs include modafinil and amodafinil, sold under the brand names of Provigil and Nuvigil respectively.

Side effects include difficulty headaches, nervousness, nausea, nose irritation, diarrhea, back pain, insomnia, dizziness, anxiety and heartburn.6
