Would recommend it
Although much of what is sold as magnet therapy is of sham quality, my study and experience in application indicates that when properly applied as part of a healthcare regime it is highly effective in reducing swelling and improving metabolic processes. I've used various forms of magnetic therapy in the past for carpal tunnel syndrome, but I've not found effective as a single therapy. However, I often use it in conjunction with cold laser therapy using the MR4 super-pulsed laser (www.multiradiance.com), which contains a magnet providing low-level, static magnetic therapy simultaneously with the laser output. When used this way, the combination has been extremely effective. I teat over the carpal tunnel itself, as well as other potentially more significant regions associated with the healing such as the pronator teres (near crease in elbow at forearm) where many CTS entrapments occur, as well as the mid-cervical spine area (where nerve roots supplying the arm/wrist/hand originate). I would encourage other practitioners to add these regions as well to any CTS protocol for maximum effect!
