I received Reiki I and Reiki II training several years ago. I chose not to complete the training to become a "Reiki Master Teacher" because of reservations I had regarding the school's lack of providing anything beyond anecdotal evidence for Reiki treatment. Personally, I believe the body has powerful energies, but I also need some research evidence to positively support its clinical use. I would love to see any current or future research on Reiki reviewing its effects.
