My husband used it for 8 months. He had calcium deposits in two arteries near his heart. The doctors were afraid to try to put stents in because were afraid the hard deposits would tear or damage the arteries trying to take them out & put the stents in. So, prescribed Ranexa claiming would dissolve the deposits. Could not find anywhere that it would do this, just reduce chest pain & let blood flow easier. He still has chest pain from time to time & winds up taking one or two nitroglycerin tablets under his tongue & the pain stops. He has discontinued taking it because he really doesn't think it is helping that much. Plus it costs $1242.00 without ins. for a 3 month supply & $550.00 with his ins. We are retired & only have Soc. Sec. Point is we cannot afford it !!!
