I had a Nissen Fundoplication a week ago to correct a paraesophageal hernia. Although it was quite painful my incisions are small and I don't think they will be leaving big scars, if any. My main discomfort is in my chest, where it feels as though an elephant is sitting. It's not my heart and apparently related to the gas that is pumped in for the procedure. My stomach has some swelling but no pain.
