What about the side effects of working around the PET Imaging Place? Could it possibly cause vertigo, loss of hearing, and balance issues?

I was interested in your question and did some quick internet research to see if there have been any studies to confirm effects of working around a PET imaging place. I found no confirmation of vertigo, loss of hearing, or balance issues being a risk related to PET exposure. The most relevant research I found was on Technologists exposure when administering PET doses (available here: http://www.scielo.br/pdf/babt/v50nspe/a16v50ns.pdf). This article mentions the importance of shielding and proper containing of radioactive particles in order to minimize exposure.

With that said, this was a summery of what I found regarding your question. There might be research that I couldn't find (or a need for more specific research) that would more fully answer your question. I'll stay on the lookout and respond back if I find further research.
