Experiences with Prednisone

I got into a poison oak patch several years ago and ended up with the stuff all over my body -- arms, legs, face, neck. The doctor gave me a Prednisone shot and prescription (can't remember the dosage now). Although it helped, I couldn't stand the side effects of the stuff. I only slept 3-4 hours per night and I couldn't manage all the extra energy it gave me. I was somewhat aggressive and hyperactive. I kept trying to taper off of the Prednisone too soon and the rash would return. I hope to never need to take Prednisone again.
