Definitely not. Stimulants are the best-known ADHD medication but by no means are they one ones. In addition to the stimulants, methylphenidate and amphetamine, other medications used to treat ADHD include atomoxetine—a non-stimulant that is sold under the brand name Strattera—antidepressants, antihypertensives, mood stabilizers and neuroleptic drugs.
