I can't tell you what to do. I can only share my experience. I have had RFA down to both sides of my lower back. I have a condition known as Adhesive Arachnoiditis. I had back surgery because of L-4, L-5,S-1 being herniated. I believe the AA already existed due to a prior injury and an epidural gone horribly wrong. The RFA on the left side of my back has worked beautifully. 95% relief. The right side however is much worse. I have several symptoms that I did not have before. It has increased the pain on the right side by at least 60-70%. I am however scheduled to try it again on the right side. I am a fighter and I will not give up. I have faith in my pain Doctor and do not feel that he did anything wrong. The right side is the one that received the most damage in the fall.

Procedure to burn off uvula and part of soft palate to treat sleep apnea. This is an extremely painful procedure. It is indicated only for snoring, according to insurance carriers. Made apnea worse (requiring higher CPAP pressure), did not even cure snoring. I now sometimes slightly aspirate liquids. I can no longer produce uvular fricatives like French "r" or German "ch".

I got nearly eight months of relief from this procedure. It has helped immensely. I just had my second procedure. It did so much more than just epidural and facet injections.

I had it two days ago...my nerves on my right side are feeling extremely "alive" right now and burning severely. I'm hoping this gets less as time goes on and just my nerves responding to the procedure. But right now Im miserable.

Had this done twice over the years for SI joint pain and it lasts 12-18 months. It is awesome to be pain-free/medication free for such a long time. Just had it done again this morning and am looking forward to being my active self for another year plus!

The constant burning is what really bothers me. My shirt and coat collars are always rubbing on it and it feelings like 100 bee stings. Someone is always patting or hitting the area and it just makes it feel worse. I wish I would have never had at it and am going to let my doc know we will not be repeating it.

I have this procedure every year, with great results of pain free lower back releived pain. I have had no side affects. I have had this procedure done for 6 years. I don't have to take pain medications, any longer.
